Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior studio experience?

No. Studio Foundations starts from the basics of equipment and safety, while the Live Production Intensive assumes you have already worked around a camera or a mixing desk.

Where do the courses take place?

Open courses run in our teaching studio, and the Newsroom Team Programme can be delivered in your own studio anywhere in the United Kingdom.

What equipment will we use?

Broadcast cameras on pedestals and tripods, LED lighting, boom and lavalier microphones, and a live mixing desk, the same type of kit used in news galleries.

Can I book a place directly online?

Not yet. Send us a message through the contacts page and we will confirm availability, dates and the best course for your needs.

Can a whole team train together?

Yes. Our team programme is built around your studio, your crew size and the shows you produce.
